ALUMINIUM CHAIR
The central idea in this chair was to bend a "H" section without resorting to brute force, but rather, by analysis of the structure to discover precisely where to weaken it in a controlled way in order to execute the bend. The shape and size of the hole in the "H" section was calculated so that the bottom flange could compress into the space when the section was bent, and also allow the tube to pass through it.
The junction was then tack-welded so that the whole frame was held together at these four points.
The chair is intended for patios and pavement cafes.
